1. Who this policy applies to
THE LOAN CENTER INC, doing business as THE LOAN CENTER ("we", "us", "our"), operates this website and reviews financing applications submitted through it. This policy applies to visitors, eligibility enquiries, applicants, co-applicants, business owners and guarantors, and account holders.
It does not apply to third-party websites you may reach through links from our site. Those sites are governed by their own privacy notices.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to identify you, evaluate a request, and meet our legal obligations.
- Identity information: full legal name, home address, date of birth where requested, the last four digits of your Social Security Number, and government-issued identification documents.
- Contact information: email address, telephone number, and mailing address.
- Business information (business financing only): legal entity name, entity type, Employer Identification Number, business address, time in business, annual revenue, ownership details, and formation or registration documents.
- Financial and application information: requested amount, purpose of funds, employment category, bank statements, and any documents you upload.
- Verification information: results of identity and liveness checks and the records of documents you provide.
- Account and correspondence information: sign-in records, application status history, messages exchanged with your loan manager, and support requests.
- Technical information: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and similar usage data collected automatically when you use the site.
3. How we collect information
- Directly from you, when you check eligibility, create an account, complete an application, upload documents, or contact us.
- Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in, secure the site, and understand how the site is used.
- From third parties, such as identity verification and fraud-prevention providers, and — where you authorise it — from institutions or partners that confirm the information you have given us.
4. How we use your information
- To produce an eligibility result and to process, verify, and review your application.
- To confirm your identity and comply with the USA PATRIOT Act customer identification requirements and anti-money-laundering rules.
- To contact you about your enquiry or application by email, telephone, text message, or WhatsApp, using the details you provide.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, misuse, and security incidents.
- To maintain our records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable law and lawful requests.
- To operate, secure, and improve this website and our services.
7. Electronic communications
By providing your email address or telephone number you consent to receive communications from us electronically about your enquiry or application, including account notices, status updates, and requests for documents. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time, but we may still send service messages relating to an active application.
8. Data retention
We keep application and account records for as long as your relationship with us is active and afterwards for the period required by applicable federal and state lending, tax, and anti-money-laundering recordkeeping rules — generally at least five years from the date of a decision or the closing of an account. Eligibility enquiries that do not become applications are retained for a shorter period and then deleted or anonymised. Contact us at support@theloancenterinc.com to ask about a specific record.
9. How we protect your information
- Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems.
- Uploaded documents are held in private storage and are not publicly accessible.
- Staff access to customer information is limited by role and granted only where it is needed to do the work.
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that it be corrected or deleted, ask us to limit certain uses, or opt out of marketing communications. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may decline a request where the law requires us to keep the information.
- To make a request, email support@theloancenterinc.com or call 209-281-2748.
- To stop marketing email, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing message.
- To stop text messages, reply STOP to the message.
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
